A Kiss just isn't a Kiss...

Saturday morning. Jude is playing in his exersaucer. Happy as can be. Perfect time for me to sneek in a quick shower. Viv decides she wants to jump in too. Normally we take separate showers but, I had to run errands and just wanted to get going. So, in she came.
( Jude's exersaucer is right in my bathroom/bedroom doorway. I can see him from the shower. )

Wash hair, scrub down body, run razor over stubbly legs, jump out. All of that in 5 minutes. Viv likes to take a long shower so she stays in to wash her hair for the um-teeth time.

I have to mention that I am blind as a bat without my glasses or contacts. Okay.. with that said...
I am drying off and look at Jude. He is so really happy about something, Is it because he can see me? Aw, how cute?! Wait! He is saying "MMM" and chewing... I didn't give him anything to eat while I was showering. Standing there drying off I see something dark coming out of his mouth. I freak. Drop my towel (probably scar my son for life) and run towards him. Is it blood? Is he bleeding? What is going on? I yell to Viv -did she give him something? She says no and since she was in the shower with me . I knew she didn't have anything to do with the dark stuff coming out of his mouth. Viv jumps out and starts to freak and runs to Jude.

Since I am blind without my glasses I have to get right up to him. Nose to nose. As I get closer I realize he has something chocolate. I swept his mouth only to sweep out a Hershey Kiss wrapper. He didn't swallow it, Thank God! He was too busy gumming the chocolate. As I took the gummy glob of chocolate out of his mouth he was grabbing and stretching for it. He is a chocoholic! He was licking the chocolate off of his shirt just to get a fix.

All is well.. Happy to say Jude had no reaction to the chocolate. I am still trying to find out where the Hershey Kiss came from. We had a bag in the pantry but, they are long gone. Maybe one was left in a pants pocket in the laundry basket next to his exersaucer. That is the only way I can figure he would have got his hands on one. Crafty little guy!

Looks like the exersaucer is moving into the bathroom now.

Wow- he is clever. But come on its chocolate- can you blame him? I'm really glad it was something edible that he found, and that he had no reaction to it, that really must have been a scary moment. Glad everything's okay though. But Jude's definitely one of the group- a chocolate lover!

I suppose if there is chocolate in the house then they'll find it. Look out, you have an official addict:)

I have to get you some chocolate from the company my hubby works for. If he's going to be sneaking chocolate, can we at least ensure that he's not fraternizing with the enemy!!?? :)

clever little rascal! gotta tell you with 2 it is a lot harder to keep a handle on all this stuff. and isn't it the worst feeling when your stomach just DROPS that they got into something! jude and kyle are sooo at that age. just yesterday i thought kyle ate dishwashing liquid. i'm unloading... he decides to pull up on the lower tray. i decide it seems safe and let him to it as i continue my business. then i see all this white stuff all over him. the liquid didn't "RINSE" all the way and now kyle has it all over his hands. i'm freaking and smelling his breath to make sure he didnt' swallow it! I'm now ordering a new dishwasher. Stuff happens even when we are watching them!
